Flying Wing
The Flying Wing is the Aero Club of BC’s plane share program within the club and currently consists of one aircraft, a Cessna 172G, kindly donated to the club by long time member Harry Pride.
The Flying Wing aims to provide Aero Club pilot members with access to affordable flying, whilst maintaining a sustainable program. The Flying Wing operates on a cost covering basis, with the pilots in the program covering the operating costs of the aircraft. The current pricing is $100/month and $50/hour dry flight time.
Pilot slots in the program are limited, and candidates are asked to contact the Flying Wing manager for details on joining the program. To be eligible for the Flying Wing, applicants must be:
An existing member of the Aero Club of BC
Hold at minimum a PPL (Private Pilot License) issued by Transport Canada
Hold a valid aviation medical
